

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lucille Davis (Lewis); his brother, Billy Davis (Frances); his first wife and the mother of six of his children, Mary Frances (Cook) Adams; his second wife and the mother of two of his children, Terry Lee Davis (White); and two sons, Francis L. “Bubba” Davis, Jr. and Christopher Allen Davis.
He is survived by his children: Marie Alexander (Neil), Becky Drew (Don), Gloria Moheng (John, deceased), Cathy Jo Ward (Joe, deceased), Jenny Davis, and Josh Davis. He also leaves behind 31 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. In addition, Judy Wheeler, though not related by blood, remained a devoted friend and companion following the passing of his second wife.
Mr. Davis was a well-known and beloved figure in the Middleburg area, fondly known as “The Peanut Man.” For more than 20 years, he sold peanuts at various locations throughout the community. A successful small business owner, his earlier careers included earthmoving, long-distance trucking, and roofing, among others.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Jacksonville Memory Gardens, located at 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL 32073.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Brannan Field Baptist Church, Middleburg, Florida.
