Francis Raymond LeDuc, age 94, of Orange Park, Florida passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022. Francis ( better known as Duke) was born in Putnam, Connecticut on October 27,1927 and joined the US Navy in 1944 at age 17. Duke served his country honorably in World War ll, the Korean War and Vietnam, retiring in 1965. Shortly after his retirement from the US Navy, Mr. LeDuc then settled into a career with the Federal Reserve Bank as Captain of Security. In addition, Duke went on to volunteer with the Clay County Sheriffs Department for over 30 years.
Francis was preceded in death by his late wife, Ann Leduc and is survived by his loving wife, Martha Caldwell; son, Michael (Robin) LeDuc ; daughters, Brigitte Pippin (Donnie Hutchenson) , Jaycee Ebitz (Todd Nussbaum) and Andrea (Fritz) Doran; 4 grandchildren: Ricky (Mandy) Pippin, Stephen Pippin, Chad Doran and Kylee Ebitz; 4 great-granddaughters: Aubrey Pippin, Kailey Pippin, Emery Pippin and Kiery Pippin; and a host of extended family and friends.
Duke was known as "the jokester" and the laughs and love he provided will be greatly missed by all those that knew him and loved him.
Funeral Services will be held 3 PM, Friday, April 29, 2022 at The Springs Church, 900 Park Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073 with Pastor Shaun Miles officiating. Military Honors will be held following the services.
