George William Sullivan

George William Sullivan, 88, passed away February 18, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born July 8, 1928 in Medford, Massachusetts and resided in Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Sullivan spent 30 years serving our country in the United States Navy. He was a long time member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church. He was a proud lifetime member and volunteer of the VFW and American legion. he was a 40 year season ticket holder and supporter of the University Florida Gators. Mr. Sullivan is survived by his children; Beverly Sullivan, Jane Sullivan, Georgia Bedard (Rick) and George W. Sullivan II (Dale), 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife; Carol Jane Sullivan and parents; George and Rena Sullivan. A visitation will be held 6-8 PM Sunday February 26, 2017 at HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERMEAD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Blanding Blvd Orange Park, Florida 32073. Funeral Mass will be held 11 AM Monday February 27, 2017 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, 1773 Blanding Blvd Jacksonville, Florida 32210.
