

Georgia Ann Gray peacefully passed away on October 23, 2025, in Orange Park, Florida, surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 1, 1944, to the late George and Bertha Chance and grew into a woman of kindness, strength, and deep faith.
Georgia built her career as a Building Maintenance Supervisor for Southland Lumber, and later worked in sales—always demonstrating resilience and a steadfast spirit. She married her beloved husband, Herbert P. Gray, and they celebrated 63 wonderful years together, a testament to enduring love and partnership.
A devoted military spouse, Georgia carried the values of loyalty and service into every part of her life. She was rooted in faith and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses – Urbana, Ohio in Urbana, Ohio. Georgia had a heart for people—she never met a stranger, always greeted others with warmth and genuine interest, and freely gave of herself in kindness.
Camping with her family was one of Georgia’s great joys—she loved the fresh air, the outdoors, the laughter around a campfire, and creating lasting memories. She was a loving mother to her three children—her son Herbert Gray Jr., and her daughters Cheryl Ann Corbean and Mary Elizabeth Gray—and a proud grandmother, cherishing every moment with her beloved grandkids.
A Survivor in many ways, Georgia faced life’s challenges with grace, courage, and a smile. Her legacy of faith, love, service, and joy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband Herbert, her children Herbert Jr., Cheryl Ann, Mary Elizabeth, and her precious grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Bertha Chance.
A celebration of Georgia’s life will be scheduled at a later date.
