Hiltrude "Maggie" Bertina Hamilton

Hiltrude "Maggie" Bertina Hamilton, 47, passed away on April 8, 2015 in Middleburg, FL. She was born in St Lucia, West Indies and served in the US Navy. Maggie was a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, graduated Phi Beta Kappa and was a very active member of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society where she had formed TEAM MAGGIE. Survivors include her husband, David A Hamilton; son, Tony Daniel Jr.; daughter, Davan Antonia Hamilton; mother, Helena Constable Nelson; father, Daniel Compton; brother, Solomon (Anna) Nelson; 3 sisters: Suzie Solomon, Karen Lorto and Marie-Jose Lorto; a grandchild, Asanti Daniel; sister-in-law, Carolyn Nelson; aunts: Delphina Randolph, Josephine Constable and Emilia Harry; uncles: Gills Constable, Stephen Constable, Fabian Constable, John and Loucious Constable (deceased); nephews: Gabriel Nelson, Bienvenido, Abajome and Gerald Estien, Tiago Lorto; nieces: Laura and Leila Lorto, Lisa Morton, Jahmilla Estien. Lauryn, Maurhann and Alayah Lorto; numerous cousins in the United States, Martinique, France, St. Lucia, St. Croix, U.S.V.I. and New York; and close friends in the US and Internationally (France, Japan and Singapore). Visitation will be held 6-8 PM, Thursday, April 16, 2015 at HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERMEAD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, FL. Graveside services will be held 10:30 AM, Friday, April 17 at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL. Celebration of her life will be held 11 AM, Saturday, April 18 at the funeral home.
