

Israel Dominguez (64), of Jacksonville, FL passed away Friday, November 23, 2012. He was a parishioner of Mary, Queen of Heaven Catholic Church and an active member of the Cavite Association of Jacksonville. He proudly served the U.S. Coast Guard for 23 years attaining the rank of CWO-4.
He is survived by his wife Teresita Dominguez of 33 years and his children, Sarah, Glenn, and Allison. He is also survived by his mother, Purificacion Dominguez, and his siblings, Elizabeth Tuazon, Thelma (Miguelito) Delfin, Eleazar (Mila) Dominguez, Jay Dominguez, and Nora (Alfred) Gelasio. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and loving friends also survive him. All will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his father, Felicisto Dominguez, and his son, Anthony Dominguez.
Israel was born in Imus, Cavite, Philippines on October 30, 1948. He graduated from Imus Institute in 1965 and served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1969-1992.
He loved telling stories, playing mahjong, and singing. All who knew him will fondly remember his jolly laugh; all who knew him well will remember his selflessness and generosity.
Funeral services will be held at Mary, Queen of Heaven Catholic Church on Friday, November 30, 2012 at 11 a.m. Interment will occur at 2 p.m. at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday, November 28, 2012, and Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Hardage-Giddens Rivermead Funeral Home, 127 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL.
