
The family will receive friends at 12:30 PM with funeral service at 1:30 PM on Thursday, March 19, 2015 with Pastor Rick Crews officiating at Hardage-Giddens Rivermead Funeral Home, 127 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, Fl 32073. Interment will follow at Jackonville Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Coast No More Homeless Pets Inc., 6817 Norwood Ave., Jacksonville, Fl 32208.
Jimmy was born on Jan. 3, 1936, to Spenser B. and Nellie Sauls Wildes (both deceased). He was a 1954 graduate of Andrew Jackson High School. In addition to his love for animals, he was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and the Jaguars. Prior to a crippling stroke at the age of 35, Jimmy was employed by the Jacksonville Ports Authority.
Jimmy is survived by his sister, Joyce W. Hutcheson, Charleston, S.C., 8 nephews and one niece and a sister-in-law, Linda Wildes, Macon, Ga.
The family extends their appreciation to Jimmy’s longtime and faithful friends, Tommy & Vera Clayton and to his nephew, Don Williams and wife Kathy for their loving care and attention to Jimmy and also to his nephew Randy Williams and wife Debbie along with Ms. Sandra Spates and Mr. Mitchell Cox for their special care and companionship during the time he lived independently at home.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy was predeceased by 2 brothers, Roy and Virgil and a sister, Martha W. Williams Roberts.
