Janet Cato Rainer, age 87, passed away December 29, 2020 in Middleburg, Florida. Janet was born on January 20, 1933 in Shiloh, GA to Thomas Holton Grant and Lollie Belle Jernigan Grant. Janet enjoyed her many years working in the banking industry, and during her leisure time, enjoyed travel. Janet was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be deeply and sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
Janet is preceded in death by her son, Gary Cato; her first husband of 45 years, Clarence Cato; and her second husband of 17 years, Art Rainer. She is survived by her sons Keith Cato (Rhonda) and Ken Cato; daughter Cindy Rainer (Joe); sister, Christine Warsheski; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Jacksonville Memory Gardens, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL 32073. The family will gather beginning at 10:00 a.m. for a visitation at Hardage-Giddens Rivermead, 127 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL 32073 prior to the graveside service on Saturday.
