Jimmy W. Whitener, age 75, passed away July 20, 2013. He was born in Doctor’s Inlet, FL and had lived in Clay County all of his life. He retired from Clay Electric after 31 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents: Dave and Irene Whitener; 2 brothers: Marvin and Donald Whitener and sister Pauline Watkins. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Jeanette Whitener, son, James “Gary” Whitener, (Teresa), 2 grandsons: Timothy (Raegan) and Christopher Whitener; and great grandson, Jackson Rowdy Whitener. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERMEAD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Blanding Blvd. Orange Park, FL 32073 with Rev. Tony Silcox officiating.
