John Davis, III the son of The Late, John Davis Jr. and Estoria Davis was born on July 16, 1964, in Montgomery, Alabama. John was no stranger to the Lord. His profound faith was the foundation and driving force in his life. John was a member of Bethel Baptist Institution of Jacksonville, FL.
John graduated from Carver High School in 1982 and immediately enlisted, served, and retired from the US Navy. John also played Flag Football while stationed at Nas Cecil Field and Nas Jax where he was the team quarterback. He led the team to several Championships. After his retirement from the Navy, he coached his son's Pop Warner football team to several championships.
John was an avid University of Alabama football fan. Anytime Bama was playing, he could be found sitting in front of the TV yelling and cheering them on. Once the game was over, he would make a beeline to the neighbor's house to brag about "Roll Tide". He couldn't wait for Monday morning to come so he could continue bragging to his coworkers at Tyonek Aviation. His coworkers had to endure the bragging for 22 years; where he worked after his retirement from the Navy, up to the time of his illness.
While stationed at NAS Cecil Field John met and married the love of his life, LaNora Morrison. From this union, they had four sons (Joshua, twins- Joseph and Jeremy and Justin). God called John home on Friday, July 25, 2025, to join his parents John Davis, Jr, and Estoria Arrington Davis, twins' sons Joseph and Jeremy Davis, Sisters; Barbara Jean Davis and Delois Davis, Mother-in-Law Susie Morrison, Father-in-law John Brooks.
