Joey, born June 22, 2012 in Jacksonville, FL, earned his angel wings April 13, 2014. Joey was born with Hydranencephaly and was given a short life prognosis. Joey was a fighter and beat the odds every day of his 22 month life. Through Joey’s journey he was able to educate and inspire his family, friends, nurses, doctors and everyone he met along the way.
Joey’s memory lives on through his parents, Jamie Brown and Jamie McCormick Brown; siblings, Tristan, Victoria, LilliAnne, Marvin and Jameson; grandparents, James Caldwell (Poppy), Aleta Caldwell (Grandma) and Lynda Roya (Grammy); along with many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, ‘Hydran’ friends and family and all of his doctors and nurses at Wolfson Children’s Hospital, Nemours Children’s Clinic and Community Hospice PedsCare.
Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. with the service following at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the Hardage-Giddens Rivermead Funeral Home, 127 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL 32073.
