

Kenneth Gene Cravey, 74, passed away in Jacksonville on March 27, 2022 after a sudden illness. Ken was born in Jacksonville and lived in Callahan during his formative school years having graduated from Callahan High School in 1966. Ken had a great sense of humor, a radiant smile, and he leaves behind many fond memories for those who knew him. Ken’s passion in life included surfing, sailing, and sports car racing. After high school, Ken earned an Associate of Arts degree from Florida Junior College in Jacksonville, and then worked for Southern Bell in Fernandina Beach and Jacksonville. He eventually retired from Flagship Property Management in Jacksonville. Ken is preceded in death by his parents, Norma and Marvin Cravey of Callahan, and a son, Billy Whitt.
Ken leaves behind his wife of 27 years, Gay Ann Cravey, and they have lived in the Ortega area for most of that time. Ken is survived by his two daughters, Wendi Restrepo and Lauren Cravey; three brothers Marvin Jr Cravey (CHS ’61), Jerry Cravey (CHS ’65), and Randy Cravey (CHS ’68).
A celebration of Ken’s life and a Funeral Mass Service will be held on April 7th at 4:00 pm at the Saint Paul’s Catholic Church at 2609 Park Street in Jacksonville.
