Kimberly Hilliker French, 51, of Middleburg Florida, peacefully passed away on April 24, 2026, surrounded by the family she spent her life devoted to. Born and raised in Vermont, she carried the warmth and values of her roots with her wherever she went.
Kimberly met the love of her life, Bryan, in high school, and the two built a life together spanning 30 years of marriage, sharing a partnership as steady and full as it was loving. Together they raised a family that was, without question, her greatest joy and proudest achievement. While she was a pillar of strength for her children, Courtney and Kyle, she found a profound joy as 'Meemaw,' a role she embraced with every ounce of her heart.
Throughout her career in childcare, Kimberly became a second mother to many, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of countless children. Kimberly had a gift for making people feel seen, safe, and unconditionally cared for, adults and children alike. Her compassion was not something she had to work at; it was simply who she was.
An avid lover of the outdoors, Kim found peace hunting for seashells and watching the sunrise at the beach with Bryan. Kim proved her resilience by completing the 20-mile Mammoth March on several occasions, a testament to her determined nature. She brought that same vibrant energy to the sidelines of basketball, soccer, and softball games. Kim found her greatest happiness in time spent with friends and family. She was the kind of person who made every gathering warmer just by being in it. Her infectious laugh and ability to find beauty in the ordinary touched everyone she met.
Kimberly is survived by her loving husband Bryan, her children Courtney and Kyle, and her six grandchildren (who knew her as Meemaw), Wyatt, Miranda, Ryker, Serenity, Charlotte, and Lillian. She is also survived by her parents, Brian and Patricia, and her sisters Tammy and Karen.
A celebration of her life will be held at 3pm Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Hardage-Giddens Rivermead Funeral Home, 127 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, FL. Please post words of comfort at www.hardage-giddensrivermead.com. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Kimberly French to the American Cancer Society.
