Lorraine Brantly STEWART
December 21, 1920 – February 10, 2020
Avie Lorraine Brantly Stewart, 99, of Orange Park, FL peacefully went into the arms of Jesus on February 10, 2020. She was born in Atlanta, GA on December 21, 1920, but lived a full and Godly life in the Jacksonville, FL area.
She had been a member of Avondale Baptist Church, but recently was affiliated with HighPoint Community Church, Orange Park, FL. Although her life was spent as a wife of 61 years and a mother of 73 years, she did work along side of her husband as a supportive business partner of Stewart Lighting. She loved studying and reading the Bible. Her passions were for Christian ministries, both at home and abroad, which she supported in person when she was able, and then financially.
Lorraine was predeceased by her husband, George Leland Stewart. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Stewart Jennings, two grandsons, Ryan Stewart Jennings (Jamie) and Lance Jennings; two great grandchildren, Everett Michael Jennings and Gavin Tyler Jennings. Her “other” family of 19 years was the loving and caring staff and residents of the Allegro in Fleming Island, FL. Most recently she was cared for by Community Hospice of NE FL, who lovingly and compassionately supervised her final journey into the Gates of Heaven.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Community Hospice & Palliative Care of NE FL or HighPoint Community Church, 84 Knight Boxx Rd., Orange Park, FL 32065 A graveside service will be at 2:00 pm on February 14, 2020 at Restlawn Cemetery , 2600 Ribault Scenic Dr., Jacksonville, FL.

You know how we loved your Mom, Cindy—she was just the most special lady and was an amazing example to all of us—& the children all loved Granny Stewart!!! She lived a long and well-lived life & has left a beautiful family! We know you will all miss her but it’s gratifying to know she passed peacefully & having been such a faithful Christian, she is in heaven now! Much love to you all!!!💖

Always loved seeing your mom when I was visiting my mother, Elsie at Allegro.
Lorraine was always up for a visit, smiling and pleasant.
She loved you very much.
The staff at Allegro will really miss your mom, she was always mentioned as the first resident of Allegro.
Saying good-bye is never easy, because we are Christians, saying until we meet again is easier that's for sure.
Can't wait to see you Cindy, to give a big hug.. we have many memories together that I cherish. Bless you Linda Smith

Please accept my deepest sympathy on the passing of your mom and my Great Aunt. I remember her fondly as being full of life and an absolutely wonderful person. While I have very few pictures of her, I have attached one of the few that I have with her sisters, mom and you as a baby.
With all my love,

A beautiful lady inside and out, Lorraine left a legacy of love. She was a delight to be around and Bob and I feel fortunate to have shared some time with her in her later years. We are thankful for her gift of family without whom we wouldn't have Cindy, Ryan, Lance, Everett and Gavin. Rest in peace and happiness, Lorraine. Love, Kate & Bob
