Margaret Miller Groff
September 30, 1926 – May 8, 2022

Margaret Miller Groff passed away peacefully on Mother’s Day 5/8/22.
Margaret was born on 9/30/26 in Lancaster, PA, the first child of Stephen & Helen Miller. She was raised in Holtwood, PA & graduated from Quarryville High School. Margaret graduated as a Registered Nurse from St Joseph’s Hospital in Lancaster, PA, where she met Joseph “Keip” Groff. They were married in 1949.
The family moved to Orange Park in 1966 where they joined Grace Episcopal Church. Margaret sang in the choir. She was always active in the community.
Margaret was a Public Health Nurse and retired from the Clay County Health Department in 1992. She enjoyed traveling, music, golf, and her beloved hummingbirds. Margaret enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and all were welcome at Grandmommy’s house. Margaret had a great appreciation for life, and she met every day head-on, living life to its fullest.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Keip, children; Stephen, Rebecca, & Joseph, 9 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Grace Episcopal Church 245 Kingsley Ave. Orange Park, FL.
Donations may be made to the National Audubon Society www.audubon.org in Margaret’s name.
