Marilyn Wingo Mott, age 82, loving mother, grandmother and mother-in-law, passed away October 12, 2013. She was born in Lakeland, Florida and had lived in Jacksonville since 1952. Marilyn graduated with honors from Plant High School, Tampa, FL where she was Miss Plant High. She attended FSU and was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. Marilyn modeled in Tampa and Weeki Wachee Springs. She was proud of the fact that she once modeled a dress previously worn by Elizabeth Taylor in “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.” She was preceded in death by James Henry Mott, the father of their son and daughter. Survivors include her loving children, son Donald V. Mott (Anne), daughter Cathy M. Grooms (Russell), 2 grandchildren: James and Laura Mott and 3 great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 12:00 noon in Jacksonville Memory Gardens, Orange Park, FL.
