OBITUARY
Mary Thomas Sowers
December 25, 1925 – January 14, 2021
Mary (Ilene) Thomas Sowers, passed into the presence of the Lord on January 14, 2021 joining her husband Charles “Chuck” Sowers (Pop-Pop) in the indescribable joys and glory of heaven all because of their savior Jesus Christ. Mary was born in Jay, OK on December 25th, 1925 and is survived by her children: Carl “Tommy” (Dora) Sowers, James “Jimmy” (Debbie) Sowers, Charles “Chuck” (Anita) Sowers, Daniel “Danny” (Joyce) Sowers; sister, Juanita Thomas; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Mary will be remembered as one of the kindest, gentlest, and sweetest of women. 1st Peter 3:4 states it this way: “…the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious.” Her beaming smile, quiet spirit and loving care will be missed but will be treasured in the memories of so many. Funeral services will be held at 11AM, Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERMEAD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, FL with visitation held 1 hour prior to service. Chuck, what a video!!!!!!! What a woman!!!!!! Sat with her many times at Westside Baptist. Also visited her sister several times while in Oregon. We know where she is now and will see her again soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mary was a true Christian inside and out. Such a sweet lady, always a smile. The family has lost a gem. I am so sorry for your lost but know she is rejoying in heaven and will always be with you. My prayers are with you.
