Mildred Catherine Barnwell

Mildred Catherine Barnwell, age 93, of Middleburg, FL died on Thursday, February 4, 2021 of complications from a major stroke. She was born on August 7, 1927 in Forest City, N.C. She came from a large family of seven siblings and married John Louis Barnwell (Barney) USN on June 5, 1948. She was a mother, homemaker, and military spouse.

Mildred is survived by her daughters Patricia Barnwell Maddox, and her spouse Thomas, and Toni Barnwell Stinson, and her spouse Floyd Stinson; grandchildren Matthew Maddox, Stephanie Williams, Jason Maddox, and Eric Stinson; and great-grandchildren Emily, Kade, Mackenzie, Noah, Ian, Jordan, Luke, and Emma; her sister, Bobbie Leagon; and many other extended family members.

For the safety of all, the family will gather privately for a graveside service to celebrate Mildred's life on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Jacksonville Memory Gardens.
