Born on October 19, 1956, in Alaminos City, Pangasinan, Philippines, Johnny carried with him the values of hard work, resilience, and deep familial pride throughout his life. As a second-generation Filipino-American, he honored his heritage while building a life defined by service and opportunity.
Johnny proudly served in the United States Navy, an experience that reflected his sense of duty and commitment to something greater than himself. Following his military service, he built a long and successful career in automotive finance, where he worked tirelessly to provide for his family.
His journey took him across the country, with homes in California, New Jersey, and ultimately Florida. No matter where life led him, Johnny’s purpose remained constant: to support, uplift, and create opportunities for his children and grandchildren.
A man of deep conviction, Johnny believed strongly in education and excellence. He encouraged his children and grandchildren to strive academically and to carry the Escobar name with pride. Everything he did—every long workday, every sacrifice—was driven by his love for his family and his desire to see them succeed.
To those who knew him, “Johnny” Escobar was synonymous with pride in family, strength of character, and quiet determination. He found his greatest joy not in personal accolades, but in the accomplishments and happiness of those he loved.
Johnny is survived by his beloved wife, Delicia; his three children, Katherine, Kevin, and Ken; and his four cherished grandchildren, Jay, Izaac, Miya, and Halia. His legacy will live on through them—in their achievements, their values, and their love for one another.
He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always honored.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Hardage-Giddens Rivermead Funeral Home, 127 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, FL 32073 on May 6, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
