Patricia Pallman Leslie

have a memory or condolence to add?

Thanks to being teachers at Loretto, Carolyn Hughes, Patti, and I had been friends for several years when we realized we had all been at the Escambia Invitational Basketball Tournament in Pensacola in 1963. Patti, who was in elementary school had been brought by her beloved dad, Carolyn was in Middle School, and I was in high school. So it seems fate brought us together and we were destined to be friends. Patti was a free and gentle spirit who enjoyed having fun and was loved more than she knew. I am thankful I had the chance to tell her how much she and her friendship had meant to me. For her mom, brother, and her beloved daughter, Monica, I share in your heartbreak, and I will remember Patti always.

So sad to hear that we've lost Ms. Leslie. Monica was my best friend in high school and Ms. Leslie was like a second mom to me. She was so caring, thoughtful and believed in us. I will always remember that constant smile and contagious giggle. Monica, I'm praying for you and your family's strength.

My heart goes out to Monica and the rest of Patti's family. I have so many fond memories of my favorite teacher and family friend. I used to babysit Monica and loved her and Patti more than words can express. Rest in Peace, I know you are up in heaven with my mom.

Dear Monica, Mrs. Pallman, Chip, and Marty,

I am saddened to hear of Patti's passing. I am one of the fortunate ones to have known Patti as a classmate, fellow teacher, and friend.

We taught many years together and were teaching 2nd grade next door to each other at Loretto when she retired. My students who had Patti as a teacher loved her. They always said, "She lets us chew gum!"

I was teaching at Pine Estates when Patti began her career there. I think it was 1978 or 1979. I met Chip and Linda there when I taught Marty in fourth grade.

Patti got married and transferred to Loretto, but we stayed in contact and shared in the joy of having our children.

We taught together again when I transferred to Loretto in 1989. We watched our own children and students grow through the years.

She always kept me updated on Marty too. Louise Turner Woolard (another Ribault classmate) taught Marty in middle school and we shared a laugh each time he changed majors in college.

Patti loved her family dearly and Monica was the light of her life. She was so proud of all of her accomplishments.

It was difficult for Patti when Monica left for college. She lost her father, Vicki's husband, and she retired. Then Linda became ill again and passed away. A piece of Patti's heart went with each one.

Patti touched many young lives. Her special laugh, sense of humor, and beautiful smile will not be forgotten.

Rest in love and peace Patti,
Evelyn Alvarez Scott

Heartfelt condolences to Monica and to Patti's family of her passing. I went to high school with Patti at Ribault Senior High School, The Great Class of 1972, and became reacquainted with Patti back when our daughters cheered for Pop Warner. Monica, one could sure tell you were her daughter, very sweet, full of joy and cheer, and Oh! that pretty blonde hair! Very fond memories. Lean on God to give you strength and comfort during difficult times. My thoughts are with you all at this time. Psalm 28:7

Sincere condolences to the family of Patti. How tragic it is that we have lost another one of our classmates. Patti was always so sweet and I will always remember her as being one of our pretty cheerleaders. May you have peace in the days ahead that her soul rest in His hands, and that memories of her keep her forever alive in your heart.

I really don't know what to say. But I know one thing, she will be missed really bad. Patty played a big part of my high school years and I will always have fond memories of her. The world has lost a great person. God bless the family.

To Monica,
It was very hard to hear that Patti has passed. I feel very sad about this loss to you and your family. Growing up together when you were small with Tara and Alexa was truly some happy times that I will never forget. I felt like you were another daughter in many ways. Patti was meek and mild and that's what I loved about her the most. I hope that you know our door is always open to you.
