Patricia Ann Stephenson

She was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late William and Ruby Wagner. She later moved to Jacksonville where she met the love of her life, the handsome naval aviator George Stephenson. It was obviously love at first sight, as they were married three months later. They lived most of their lives in Jacksonville but also spent several years in Louisville, Kentucky. Patricia worked at Duval County Medical Society for several years before her retirement.

She was predeceased by her infant son, Charles Bradley Stephenson, her daughter Pamela Mancarella, and her brother William C. Wagner, Jr.

She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, George Stephenson; sister-in-law Flor (China) Wagner; daughter Mary Stephenson Nussbaum (Bill); son-in-law Paul Mancarella; grandchildren Stephanie Freel, Heidi Wohlfarth, Lindsay Waldron (JC), Billy Nussbaum (Lindsey), and Samuel Nussbaum; great-grandchildren Ethan Freel, Ellie Freel, Amelia Nussbaum, Oliver Nussbaum, Audrey Waldron, Jessica Corson (David), and Victoria Stainton (Ian); great-great grandchildren Julianna Nagy, Josephine Nagy, Cooper Corson, Jackson Stainton and Emma Stainton; nieces Marisol Harrell (Jason) and Christina Wagner, and nephew Luis Wagner.

Patricia was a wonderful wife, mother, Nana, and friend to so many. She was a fierce competitor during family game nights, she loved to crochet, read, collect miniatures, eat lots of sweets, and above all else loved and fretted over her family.

A family graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Jacksonville Memory Gardens, 111 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, Florida.
