Paul served six years in the Navy and worked as a government employee for forty years at NAS JAX as an aircraft mechanic. Serving the government for a total of 46 years.
He was a loving husband and dedicated father. Paul cherished his grandbabies too. He was a loyal member of the Moose Lodge, since 2003. He loved being involved in the Motorcycle charity events. On the weekends you would catch him cruising on his Harley Davidson's with his buddies. His other passions were outdoor activities, like hunting and fishing. Paul was raised as a Methodist.
Those who preceded him were his parents, James and Virginia Meece, and grandson John "Jack" McBride. He is survived by his wife Delilah J. Meece, children; Paul David Meece, Jr., Amie McBride, and Adrienne Osborne, stepson; John Lester, twelve grandchildren, one great grandchild, and two brothers; Mike and Mark Meece.
A graveside service for Paul will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 2:00PM , Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218, with Military Honors. Guests are asked to please arrive in Lane 1 prior to 1:45 p.m. please.
