Randall W. Gentry, Sr., 53, loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend passed away on September 7, 2010 in Fleming Island, FL. He was born in Dallas, TX and was a retired Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars- Post 5968. Mr. Gentry was predeceased by his mother, Margaret Imagene Dunn and is survived by his parents: Wesley and Liz Gentry; son, Randall Wesley Gentry, Jr.; 2 daughters: Katie and Meghan Gentry; brother, Ronald (Brenda) McAbee; 3 sisters: Margie Sawtelle, Sandra (Steve) Jindra and Stacey (Bill) Ashcraft; an uncle to Adam and Steven McAbee and other nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends 9-10:30 AM on Friday, September 10, 2010 and funeral services will follow at 10:30 AM at HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERMEAD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, FL with Steven W. McAbee officiating. Graveside services will be held 1 PM, Friday at Jacksonville National Cemetery with full military honors.
