Raymond Savoy Futch Jr.

Raymond Savoy Futch Jr., age 88, of Orange Park, Florida passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. He was born in Lakeland, Florida to the late, Raymond and Inez Futch. He served his country proudly in the US Air Force.

Raymond worked for 37 years with the US Postal Service and served his community through church work at Gray Gables Baptist Church Callahan FL, St. George COG and Hillcrest Baptist Church. He loved playing and dressing like Charlie Brown for Trunk or Treat in October.

He was predeceased by his loving wife, Peggie Futch; 3 brothers and 5 sisters. Raymond is survived by his three daughters: Ida I (Ray) Cribb, Lisa S. Revels (her late husband, Larry) and Rita R. (Mike) Farley; five grandchildren: Christopher Long, Nicholas Long, Kenneth Syphers, Jessica LeClair and Jason Syphers; eleven great-grandchildren: Amber Long, Davion Long, Allison Long, Adilyn Long, Wyatt Syphers, Gavin Syphers, Austin Syphers, Emma Syphers, Clayton Syphers, Sophia LeClair and Lydia Syphers; and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral service will be held 10:30 AM, Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 7673 Collins Rd, Jacksonville, FL with visitation held 30 minutes prior to service. Pastor Chris Pruitt will be officiating. Graveside services with military honors will be 1:30 PM at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL (LANE 3).
