Raymond Garvey, 63, passed away September 27, 2017. He was born October 31, 1953 in Jersey City, New Jersey and resided in Jacksonville, Florida. Raymond served proudly in the U.S. Navy on active duty for 8 years. He worked at the Naval Air Depot, NAS JAX for 25 years until he retired in 2005. Ray enjoyed hunting, camping, searching for flea market treasures and spending time with family and friends. Mr. Garvey is survived by his loving wife of 37 years; Kathleen Garvey, son; Brian Garvey (Ashley), and grandchildren: (Emma Elizabeth, Harper Grace). A visitation will be held 6-8 PM Saturday, September 30, 2017 at HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERMEAD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Blanding Blvd Orange Park, Florida 32073. Inurnment will take place with Military Honors 2 PM Friday, October 13, 2017 at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road Jacksonville, Florida 32218. Please line up in lane #1.
