Ronald Arthur Schwind, a beloved, faithful, kind-hearted, selfless, and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, entered eternal rest on October 23, 2025, at the age of 78 surrounded by loved ones. Ronald was born on May 14, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, and was a resident of Orange Park, Florida.
He served his country in the United States Air Force with his family around the world from Texas to Guam to Europe and more, retiring honorably after 25 years. After his military service, Ronald served as an Occupational Safety Superintendent. His career was marked by dedication and excellence. Ronald was baptized at First Baptist Church in Parrish, Alabama, marking the beginning of his deeply rooted faith.
Ronald's personal interests included traveling, especially during his service in the Air Force. He was an avid fan of the University of Alabama Football—ROLL TIDE! He had a passion for modern technology and loved camping, desserts, Christmas, and family reunions. Family was at the center of his heart.
Ronald contributed actively to the Boy Scouts of America alongside his sons, coached youth baseball, and was recognized as a servant leader within his community. He was a gentle man, and a jokester, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter.
Ronal is preceded in death by his sisters, Genevieve and Clara; and two brothers, Richard and Robert.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Sandra Schwind. Ronald was previously married to Linda Schwind for 31 years until her passing. Ronald also is survived by his sons Ronald K. Schwind (Kayla), Christopher Schwind (Dana), and Michael Schwind. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren Benjamin Knowles Schwind, Megan Elizabeth Mary Schwind, Emma Schwind, Olivia Schwind, Tristen Schwind, Alexis Schwind, Alexia Kissee (Adam), Tyler Mobley (Michelle) and two great-grandchildren Jace and Addison Kissee, sisters Carol (Joe) Fye and Jeanne (Ken) Kuchler along with a host of loving family and friends that will miss him dearly. Ronald lived a life defined by family, service, and faith.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Hardage-Giddens Rivermead Funeral Home, located at 127 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, Florida, 32073, on November 30, 2025, at 11:00 am. Ronald will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
