Thomas Paul Johnson

1947-2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thomas Paul Johnson, of Orange Park, FL, on Thursday, February 13, 2025. He was 77 years old. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Born in East St. Louis, Illinois, Tom was the youngest son of John and Ann Johnson. Tom pursued higher education at Eastern Illinois University and went on to get his MBA at St. Louis University where he laid the foundation for a successful career in metal manufacturing. He was widely respected in his field, known for his sharp mind, strong leadership, and integrity. Tom was a lifelong fan of Notre Dame football and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Tom shared fifty-five beautiful years of marriage with his wife Sandra Johnson. He was a proud and loving father to his children, Scott (Lesley Grass) Johnson and Eric Johnson, and a doting grandfather to Maggie, Lily, Brasher, and Caleb.

Tom is also survived by his brother, Leo Johnson, and sister-in-law, Judy Johnson, and a wide circle of extended family and friends. He is reunited in peace with his parents, his brother, John Johnson, and sister-in-law, Charlotte Johnson.

Tom led a rich and fulfilling life marked by adventure, hard work, and a deep love for his family. His career took him to a variety of places in the U.S. and abroad where he built lasting friendships, embraced new experiences, and created memories treasured by all who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor his memory.
