Wilda Bernice Montieth

Wilda Bernice Montieth, age 84, went home to be with her Lord, on December 14, 2013. She was born in Tilley, New Brunswick, Canada, and was a resident of St. Augustine, for 35 years prior to moving to Jacksonville, Florida in 2006. Wilda worked as a crossing guard for St. Augustine for 5 years ,and was a cafeteria manager for the Pinellas County School System before retirement. She was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church. Survivors include her husband of 67 years Eugene F. Montieth, Sr., sons: Eugene F. Montieth, Jr. (Esther), Dale A. Montieth (Wanda) and Ivan L. Montieth (Denise), daughter Helen A. Hargan (Bud), brother Claude Hanscom (Elaine), sister Berdina Morehouse (Elwyn), 10 grandchildren , 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Hardage-Giddens Rivermead Funeral Home, 127 Blanding Blvd. Orange Park, FL 32073 with Rev. Lester Green officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Jacksonville National Cemetery.
