William Earl Vinson Sr.

William Earl Vinson, Sr., age 91, of Brooker, Florida passed away peacefully on June 21, 2025, in Orange Park, Florida. William was born to the late Wilma (Ammons)and James Archie Vinson in Baker Hill, Alabama in 1934. He received the call to serve his country in the United States Navy, where he proudly served for four years. He owned and operated a service station on the northside of Jacksonville and then worked as a civilian at NAS Jacksonville. William was the patriarch of the family. He instilled the love of God, family, and service to your fellow brother. He enjoyed gardening and he loved Alabama College Football.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 68 years Marcella (Williams), children Rhonda Martin (Dennis) and Earl Vinson (Connie), granddaughters Kayla Topi (Ardit), Megan Ward (Jarrett), and Christina Martin, great granddaughters Makenzie Ward and Ava Topi, numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 25 ,2025 from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the Hardage-Giddens Rivermead Funeral Home located at 127 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, Florida 32073. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Burial will be at the Jacksonville National Cemetery located at 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32218 at 1:30 pm. (Lane 3). Pastor Rick Crews to officiate.
