

Warsaw, Bobby Fay age 88 of Lockport, passed away peacefully December 22, 2016 with his loving family by his side. Bob is survived by his loving family; children, Raquel (late David) Cichy, Susan, Robert A., Thomas (Karin Carlson), Jeffery (Caryn), Patricia (Richard) McGrath, and Kenneth Warsaw; sister-in-law to Helen Escobedo; grandchildren, Michael (Kyndall) and David Cichy, Kaley and Jaclyn Major, Ian Simpson, Christina Warsaw, Jennifer (Matthew) Connelly, Matthew, Caitlyn, Macy, Tara Warsaw, Ryan and Daniel McGrath; 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his wife Raquel "Didi" Escobedo Warsaw, parents; Emriegh John William and Helen Nell (Roots) Warsaw, his siblings; John William, Lois Charlene Warsaw Cernugel and Donald Wayne Warsaw, Bob and Raquel, his wife of 62 years, were married May 11, 1951. He was a graduate of Lockport Township High School. Bob was an all-star athlete. Upon graduation, Bob was recruited to the Chicago Cubs farm system. His recruitment was interrupted when Bob was drafted to the U.S. Army to serve in the Korean War. For Sgt. Bob Warsaw's distinguished service, he was awarded the Wharang Distinguished Military Service Medal with Silver Star, and the Purple Heart Medal. Bob was self-employed owner of Warsaw Concrete. He will truly be missed by everyone who knew him. The family would like to send a special thank you to the Joliet Hospice Organization for their kind, and very supportive care they provided to Bob and the family members during this difficult time.
