Dear Joyce, Ray and families,

I am so sorry for your loss. I loved your Mom as did my Mom. I an cousin Kay’s oldest daughter Kim and learned of Aunt Doris’ passing from my sister Michele who periodically Googled your Mom’s named to see if we could find her. All three of us (including Jackie) send our sincere condolences.

I am still cleaning out my Moms things and came across a letter Aunt Doris wrote my Mom on November 5, 2006. In the letter she talks about the move to Frankfort after having lived in Calumet City for 43 years and how hard it was not knowing how to get around the area. I laughed when I read “Well I sure hope Kim’s fellow works out. She needs a companion for her old age. Ha Ha. It can be lonely when you get older if you’re alone.” Aunt Doris would be happy to know my fellow did work out and we’ve been married for 10 years now.

Take care,
Kimberly (Vallance) Shaw
Michele (Vallance) Drake
Jackie (Vallance) Ronin
