Jack P. Reimer, WWII U.S. Army Air Corp. Veteran, age 97, of Palos Park, Illinois passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025. Beloved husband of the late Esther S. (nee Schaffer) of 52 years. Fond son of the late Harry and Martha (nee Schmidt). Dear uncle of John (the late Esther) Fitzgerald and Richard (Susan) Fitzgerald. Great-uncle of Kevin Fitzgerald, Megan Janz, Gery Helper and Sandy Helper. Great-great uncle of Brayden, Carter, Nolan and McKenzie. Cousin and friend to many, especially his dear friend Mary Rogala.
Jack was a proud employee of more than 30 years of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation Department. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in Jack's name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
A visitation for Jack will be held Friday, July 18, 2025 from 9:30am until 10:30am at Orland Funeral Home, 9900 W 143rd St., Orland Park, IL 60462. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 11:00am at St Michael Catholic Church, 14327 Highland Ave, Orland Park, IL 60462. Interment Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum, 16201 104th Ave, Orland Park, IL 60467.
