Remembering Jim as a friend a friendly neighbor of mine

Jim was such a great guy. I remember meeting him on the Concert Committee at MVCC.  From Rold Golds to his Challenger which we fondly called the "Banana Boat" and for the rest of hs life Jim is aremembered as a gentle loyal and sincere man. There are so many memories I can not even begin to write down.   I am proud to have been one of his many  friends. May the Family find comfort in his memory which shall continue for the years to come.

Uncle Jim was not just an amazing, thoughtful and generous uncle, he was also my god father, a role he was proud of always.  I am blessed to have had him in my life.  I like to think that instead of losing an uncle, I have gained a guardian angel.

I was the singer with Midwest Territory. I had been out of touch for years but was extremely saddened by the news of Jimmy's passing. I was in touch with Mike Klemik the bass player over the passing of our other mate Mark when it seemed like the next call was Mike again and Jimmy was gone. I was lucky enough to meet up with Jim again when I was performing at Justice Fest. We spent the rest of the night reminiscing. Brothers in Music forever. 

I was completly shocked & saddened by Jim's sudden death.I just talked to Jim on Dec 6th or Dec.7th telling Jim of our former band member,Mark Porto.  dying. I called Jim 2 times on Fri. Dec. 10th & never got an answer.When he didn't attend Mark's wake the next day on Saturday,I figured something had to be wrong. I was in a band with Jim starting in 1977 & stayed friends with him all thru the years.Every summer we would meet at some of the local fests to hear the different bands that were playing. Jim was a great guy & I'll sure miss him. I  posted a newspaper article with our band's picture on it from 1977.Jim is on the far right.

I knew Jim since 8th grade and was the best man at my wedding in 1980. My mom used to say “Hang around with Jim, he won’t get you in trouble “. He was the guy that thought about what could happen and maybe you should think this through. Some times he would give advice and 9 out of 10 times , I would take it . 
I’m glad I had the pleasure of doing a few things with him this past fall and summer. We went to a  couple of festivals and car shows together. Always a gentleman and a very good friend.

so sorry to hear of jimmy's passing. he was the drummer in the band i was in along with mark porto who just passed away also. i was fortunate to meet up with him again when i was delivering to the place he worked. he was a warm, kind person and a heck of a drummer. rest in peace jimmy. you will be missed. mike and randy klimek

My gosh Jim, you have left us. I am saddened & shocked by hearing this & never dreamed you would leave us so early in our lives.  I wish you the best in the afterlife & will never forget you.
