Jesus Rios

Jesus Rios a cherished individual who called himself Jessie Rivers or better yet “Chaparrito de Oro”, peacefully left us on October 3rd 2024 surrounded by family and his supportive medical team (Geisi Benitez and Jasmine Juarez).

Jesus brought great joy and passion to everyone he surrounded. He met his wife Manuela in 1964 and spent a beautiful 58 years married. Their life together was cherished and filled with lots of love.

Jesus was preceded in death by his parents, Reyes Rios and Hilaria Gonzalez, his siblings Aurelia, Maria, Josefina, Francisco, Sabino Rios and sons, Francisco and Alejandro Rios. He is survived by his wife, Manuela Rios, sister Carmen Rios, children, Enrique and Silvia Rios and Patricia (Francisco) Jara, as well as grandchildren- Ana, Francisco, Margarita (Giovani), and Maria Rios, Victor Hugo, Jose De Jesus and Francisco Sosa, Patricia (Miguel Sanchez), Francisco (Graziela), Carlos, Andres (Jocelyn) Jara, and great grandchildren, Leila and Anabella Jara, and Camila & Sebastian Sanchez along with several other loving family members.

A visitation for Jesus will be held Monday, October 7, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Orland Funeral Home, 9900 W 143RD ST, ORLAND PARK, IL 60462. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Michael Church, 14327 Highland Ave, Orland Park, IL 60462.
