I feel so blessed to have had your mother in my life. As I watched her raise both you and Doug I saw two children that were graced with so much of her kindness and love. I watched as you both took the lessons she taught and grew into remarkable adults. These gifts she bestowed were the most precious she had to offer. I know personally because she also bestowed some of those precious gifts to my children. I know when I look into my children’s eyes that part of that shine is from your mother. She was Brittany’s “MM” and Carl provided her with a constant challenge of leaving his clothes dropped everywhere. Know that are families heartfelt sympathy and prayers are with you and your families.

Oh Joan, the first day I met you was one of the most fun nights ever! Your smile was so bright while you were laughing at Mer and I being crazy at Doug’s game. You raised 2 great kids, and I know they love you so much. I hope you’re resting peacefully in heaven.
