Kathleen L. Benware

Kathleen L. Benware, age 77 of Chicago, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 16th, 2023, surrounded by family. Preceded in death by her dear husband Eugene M. Benware of nearly 50 years; cherished aunt, sister, sister-in-law, and loving, loyal friend.

Kathleen retired in 2010, at which time she devoted her life to taking care of her family, especially her husband and sister. When she took time for herself, you could often find her at the local shopping centers. Kathleen loved animals, especially dogs and birds. A lover of nature, she would ensure her nearby wildlife was fed. Loved by all of her many nieces and nephews, she will always be "Auntie."

Friends and family will gather for a visitation for Kathleen that will be held Monday, October 23rd, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Orland Funeral Home, 9900 West 143rd Street, Orland Park, Illinois 60462. A chapel funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 24th, 2023 beginning at 10:00am at Orland Funeral Home.
