I remember him from my childhood. He was a very good, honest, hard working man. He was very friendly and caring. RIP.

We always think we will live forever.  We know that’s not true but with Kosta, we weren’t sure after the first time he battled cancer. 
My family always enjoyed Sunday breakfast at his restaurant. Starting with the one off of Rte 30 in Frankfort. The Clarke’s were so popular that Kosta agreed to put Dad’s favorite item on the menu. The famous S.O.S.  
My wife and I always enjoyed our date nights there. Kosta was always there to lend a advisory ear and advice. 
We will miss him. He was one of a kind. A good friend whom will be remembered forever.


I worked at Mary Todd's for over 15 years. Kosta was the best at his business, he elevated my standard of service to our customers. I'm grateful for the opportunity of working with him.  He was the hardest working restaurant owner I ever worked for in my 30 years of experience .   I have always been and always will be proud to have worked for Kosta. We will miss Kostas. First meeting him at his restaurant and enjoying the hospitality. And much later as a fellow colleague.  My husband played cards with him on Monday nights.  Kostas claimed he wouldn’t miss the game cause it got his mind off his troubles    
I last saw him over  the summer and spent a wonderful afternoon with him hearing stories of his past.  He loved his family.  A good man.  Rest in peace

Kosta was a very giving man in every way!! When we sold our place in Frankfort and had to move to Indiana, Kosta was always there almost every night with food for us after very long days of moving. When Janice and I were redecorating the restaurant, we had many great nights just all hanging out together laughing, eating and celebrating all that was accomplished. Kosta always always gave to others first!! Giving To Everyone and anyone who would walk across his path. 
He will be truly missed by all who had the good fortune of knowing him.

I will always have fond memories of Kosta, yes he was a good man with morals and integrity, but the memory that makes me smile most is when he would smack Andrew with the belt. Growing up, Andrew and I would often be left unattended at Mary Todds. We would always end up in some type of shenanigans....whether it was bending spoons as Christmas ornaments, building haunted houses out of potato sacks, or crushing ice all over the kitchen floor for our,  "ice skating rink," there was always something.  Kosta was a tolerant man, until he was not. Many times he would chase us around the restaurant yelling, "Andrrrreaaaaaa!!!!" or when we would have pushed him too far he would say, "Thats IT!" He would snatch Andrew quicker than a mouse and out would come the snapping of the belt. Nothing terrified us more... and filled us with complete laughter. No one will truly understand the wonderful childhood we had growing up at Mary Todds, but the amount of memories we created together is insurmountable. Kosta you were a good man to have in our lives, thank you for the years of happy memories. Rest in Peace.

Kosta was pretty tolerant... until he wasn't. Inevitably, Kosta would see what we were up to and chase us around the restaurant. When he would finally catch up, he would either say, "Annnnnnndrea!!!!" or "Thats it, you're getting it!!" when we knew we pushed too far, out would come the snapping of the belt. Nothing would scare us more and make us laugh at the time same time.  Kosta was a good man. He had morals and integrity. I will always value his dedication to his family and to Mary Todds. No one can explain the wonderful childhood we had all growing up together. Thanks for always being around, Kosta. Rest in Peace. 

One of the first things I think of when I hear Kostas name is that he was a very hard working man and extremely ambitious. Battling illness for many years he should be recognized for his courage and strong will. Every time I ever saw Kostas at a family event he was always a gentleman and had something funny to say! I would always make it a point to try to find him at weddings because he would make me laugh with an impromptu joke or wise crack…the jokes were harmless and I can’t repeat all the words he used, but believe this, he had me in stitches a few times over the years. Gone but not forgotten, Rest Peacefully…..Meehow
