Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Martin L. Garber Sr. and Sue Garber (née Malarick); his brother, Martin L. Garber Jr.; and his sister-in-law, Marian Garber (nee Cechota).
He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Rosalie Garber (née Hopfgartner); his daughters, Lorelei Tarter and Karen Pominville; his cherished grandchildren, Trinity and Jarrod Pominville, and Morgan Kidder and Cal Tarter; and his adored great-grandchildren, Rosalie and Louisa Kidder. A devoted member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Las Vegas, Larry lived his faith through action. He generously supported Catholic Charities, including the Focus Group, and believed deeply in helping others. He was also a proud member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, Delta Sigma Chapter in Peoria, Illinois.
Above all, Larry was the cornerstone of his family—a paternal figure who took seriously his role as provider, protector, and leader. He ensured that those he loved were cared for, supported, and connected. Known for his quick wit and playful sense of humor, he delighted in teasing and “ribbing” family and friends, always bringing laughter to those around him.

A passionate sports fan, he cheered on his beloved Chicago Cubs, Blackhawks, Bears, and Bulls. He also loved history and finance, played Words with Friends, and was an avid traveler, visiting 64 countries, including seven trips to his cherished Italy.
