Marc- I hear you in a song that comes on the radio, I see you in places we went, I remember you in jokes we told. You make me laugh and you make me cry, but you will always be in my heart. I will love you till the end of time. I love you bro.

Our prayers and thoughts are with the family. Marc was a great kid, never a dull moment with him. Marc & our son Jeff were good buds because they were so much alike,always in trouble, even though Billy & Jeff were friends. Rest in peace Marc, you are so loved. The Schreck's.

I decided to share this sonnet. Uncle Marc gave us so many memories and we will remember him forever.

We've known Marc for for almost 20 years. He was in our wedding and Dan was in his. We were in dart league and bowling league together, and we hung out a lot at Lakepoint camp grounds. Marc, Bill and my parents had campers there. We introduced burning Christmas trees in July, Marc loved it & then the next year went to his house and he had eight trees in his back yard. He loved my parents because they would sit around the camp fire and drinking Mad Dog with us and one night we all swear we were seeing UFO'S or space ships way up in the sky we laughed about that for years. Marc even helped us paint the inside of our house when moved out to Elwood and two years ago we moved across the street from him, he came over after work and did what he could to help move us in. Refusing to admit any pain that he was in.  

Recently finding out that we are having twin girls we shared the names with Marc, in which he said that we needed to change out one because her initials will be OLD, Marc being so used to using initials at work & this is what he told us.  And he said that if we didn't change out the initials then we will have to make sure the first twin is OLD since she will be the older one, to which now we will be doing.  We think of you daily & miss you so much!

That's what you always called me. You had many sayings and nick names for all of the people in your life. We spent many wonderful years together as roommates in apartments and purchasing the home in Mokena. I have so many great memories of having water fights over our 3rd floor balcony to the kids below to shooting off bottle rockets to the building across the way. I cherish all of those times like they were yesterday and wish they would bring you back. My heart aches every day and can't believe I'm even writing this today as I've now waited to the last day to write you. I know you're up there with no more pain, I just want to be selfish to have you back in all of our lives, as you meant so much to so many. Terry Clark said it so perfectly at your service by asking if Marc had ever given you the shirt off his back, please stand up, and when I turned around all of the people were standing, because that's the kind of person you were. I love you brother!

Spending New Year's Eve with Marc at Morgan's these last several years has been so fun! I know he enjoyed having both his groups of friends hanging out all together! It won't be the same without you, buddy!

Playing goofy games with Marc was always fun. Yellow Car went on for years (kinda like Punch Bug). I would text Marc, Yellow Car and he would text back Yellow Bus or Yellow Construction Equipment! He was always so much fun!

The fun, laughter and good times we had in the neighborhood, dinners, parties, holidays, festivals etc.

Nothing can top the time we wrapped Marc's house in yellow caution tape and drew outlines of bodies on his driveway while he was at work....Oh wait, maybe the time we decorated his house with Christmas decoration in July!

Marc Monday's

Marc and I were both off on Monday's so we decided to make a day of shopping and lunch. Eventually, the neighborhood caught wind of how much fun and excitement we would have, because if they were around, they came with. We'd cram all of us in the truck and head out. Just the simple idea of grocery shopping turned into hours of laughter that turned in to years of laughter.

Marc was always trying to hit on the ladies in the store. He'd tell me to walk away or they might get the wrong impressionso I started saying, Marc you're the best brother ever, to take your sister shopping. From then on out, I became his sister. 

When his day off changed, I'd change mine so we could have our shopping adventures. But it was still Marc Monday's no matter what day of the week it was.

I'm going to miss my Marc Monday's!

Marc...I am sorry I told you that you could only wear your cowboy boots when we weren't taking pictures at our wedding. But if I didn't, we wouldn't have had so much fun, and have great pictures. The photographer watched you switching from dress shoes to cowboys boots all evening long, and couldn't help but ask you why. Then he did an entire photo shoot of you and your boots. I love those photos. I am so glad you kept those boots, because I have them now, and I will cherish them always. I love you bro.

Truly honored to have known Marc. The sweetest, most selfless guy! Who else would offer to drive a bunch of crazy drinking women all the way downtown for a  Bon Jovi  concert, go home to Mokena and then come back to pick us up???Only Marc would offer to do something like that and then smile the entire time. Marc your smile and your friendship will truly be missed by so many. Love ya! Xoxo

Knowing Marc as long as I have...there are so many fond memories.I would like to share a few...me and Christine Page)Chrissy) put a life size cut out of Pam Anderson that Marc had in his bed and sent him pictures of Her while he was at work...one night when we were all sitting outside in my driveway we played adult hopscotch...and wouldn't you know it  Marc won!!  We also would get together and play scene it!  Always a great time!!

There are really no words that can begin to express the sadness we fell about losing Marc. We known him for years & love him like a son. We have had many fun times together but have to share one of my (Gail's) favorite. We spent so many nights around the campfire at Lakepoint Campground passing around a bottle(s) of Mad Dog. I am so happy that I got to see him & hug him  on Wednesday night before we returned to Virginia. We will never forget his smiling face.

Marc was very supportive and understanding as I began my railroad career just a few years back.  We worked together for a short time, but he was always very approachable and willing to help out.  I was shocked to hear the news and wish peace to his family.  He will be missed.

We first met Marc in 1996 when we moved in across the street. In these short 19 years he has grown to be not just a friend but a part of the family. He has watched our four children grow up. He was right there as part of the village that it takes to raise a child....birthdays, graduations, births, holidays.  He was right there for all the kids in the neighborhood to shoot hoops with, trick or treat with, play cards and spoons with or to just sit and talk with. If you needed something he was there.  I am forever greatful that God had put this great man in our lives. I can't imagine life without him. Marc.....a man of great love for his family and friends. We will forever miss your wit and smiling face. We love you Marc! May you rest in eternal peace.

Words cannot express my shock and sadness when I heard the news Saturday afternoon. There are too many funny moments with Marc over the years to narrow it down to just one. However the one that always makes me laugh every time I think about it is a bunch of us went to the White Sox opener in 2013 and I think that was the very first time all of us saw him actually wearing his sunglasses, not just sitting on his head, everyone including Marc just laughed & laughed when we said something to him about it.  He was a fantastic person & everyone loved to be around him.  He will be missed greatly by all that knew him.  RIP Tarver, you are loved by many & that will never stop.

I have worked with Marc for the past three years as an RTC for CN. I worked on the desk next to him and he would always tell me to "never stop any train", even amongst the most dense traffic. He hated stopping a train. Then Marc and I would normally go get our 7th cup of coffee for the night as we joked of the most ridiculous natured things in life, laughing at each other and ourselves. Marc was my baby brother. We had our ups and downs, but we, always knew that we always knew that we had each others back. Over the past couple years we have become very close, and those were the most precious two years. We laughed, we cried, and we shared moments that I will never forget. Marc, I love you very much, and you will be missed more than you will ever know. My only hope is that you are in Heaven with no more pain, living the life you so much deserve. I have known Marc for only 10 years. He was the only person that truly knew how to play chess. He must have beaten me 20 times in a row. But our last match I won. He said that would never happen again. He was right. You will be missed my friend. Just 1 of the memories we shared.

I heard about Marc's passing the day he passed and am still in stunned disbelief. I worked with Marc for a number of years on the CN and loved when he was running the RR. He was an excellent train dispatcher and will be sorely missed by those of us who had the pleasure of working with him. My deepest sympathies to Marc's family. He left us way too soon.

When I found out of Marc's passing I was in complete shock which turned into complete sadness . My family and I use to live around the corner from him and and when I think about the old neighborhood he's part of the memory . Marc knew how to make u laugh and when there was a party his name always came up if he wasn't there " where's Marc " Marc was always there for me or my family when he was needed no matter what it was for , if he could do it he did no questions asked . Haven't seen Marc since we moved but he was one of the friends we miss about the old hood . RIP Marc and prayers to the Tarver family

20 years went by so fast but I remember like yesterday meeting the man behind the tassel jacket, backward sunglasses, cowboy boots and mullet like it was yesterday and have been blessed to call him my friend ever since. Thank you for always being there for me Tarv. I'll miss you forever.
