Marie J. Ahlrep

Beloved wife of the late Richard Ahlrep; loving mother of Annmarie (Richard) Riley of Chesterton, IN and James (Patrice) Ahlrep of Woodinville, WA; cherished grandmother of Angela Vallortigara, Lauren Vallortigara, Michael Ahlrep and Laura (Matthew) Herman; proud great grandmother of Charlie and Evelyn Herman. Marie is preceded in death by her brother Bill (Lois) Heiting.

Marie was the oldest, continuous parishioner at St. Michael Church and rode on the float in the Orland Days Parade. She made a difference in many lives, delivering communion and companionship to many elderly parishioners of St. Michael Church. She also volunteered for over 47 years for Recording for the Blind in Orland Park.

A special thanks to her caretaker Valerija who lovingly cared for Marie in her home for the past 2 years.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 4th 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Orland Funeral Home, 9900 W. 143rd St., Orland Park, IL. Followed by a procession to St. Michael Church, 14327 Highland Ave., Orland Park for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment Orland Memorial Park Cemetery, Orland Park, IL.
