On Friday, June 24th, 2022, in Tinley Park, IL, Norma Antonia Davenport, passed away peacefully at age 80. Norma was born on April 10, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois to Gina and Antonio Zuccato, becoming a first generation American with strong family values. She loved living in Chicago for her childhood and enjoyed sharing stories of her time there with family and friends. Norma valued family over everything and prided herself in spending time with her loved ones and making as many memories as possible. In February 1962, she married Leonard Davenport. They raised two sons and a daughter: Lenny, David, and Karin. And then had 7 grandchildren, Austin, Darby, Alexa, Gianna, Dawson, Seth, and Davis, going by Nonni & Granddaddy. The name Nonni was quickly adopted by more than just her grandchildren. Nonni had a passion for the arts: painting, ceramics, and crafts. She loved to share her passion with her grandkids, spending time doing crafts together and teaching them along the way. She loved to travel the world and enjoyed many trips with her husband Leonard, her forever friends, and family, but her favorite vacations were cruises. Each trip created everlasting memories with the people she loved. Staying true to her Italian roots, she loved to cook and pass down family recipes for future generations. Except, the recipes were not precise, she always said, “to eye it” and “taste along the way.” Her cooking was a labor of love and she
wanted to share that love with every individual welcomed into her home. She was known for
her love of family, her lively spirit, and her sassy remarks. Norma was preceded in death by her father, Antonio, her mother, Gina, her husband, Leonard, and her brother, John. She is survived by her sister, Dea, her three children: Lenny (Heidi), David (Deanna), and Karin (Clarence), and all 7 of her grandchildren: Austin, Darby, Lexi (Joey),Gianna, Dawson, Seth, and Davis.
