Susan J LaPorte

Susan was the beloved wife of the late John J. LaPorte; loving mother of Richard (Jaclyn) LaPorte, Justin LaPorte, and Jennifer LaPorte; and cherished grandmother of Isabella and Khloe LaPorte, and Noah, Cordelia, and Ramzi Mohammad. She was the dear sister of the late Thomas (Chris) Sudeikis and adored sister-in-law of Thomas (Cathy) LaPorte.

Susan dedicated many years of her life as a school bus driver for Rockford Public Schools, where she was known for her kindness and care toward the children she transported. Above all, she deeply loved her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy. She also enjoyed gardening and was a devout member of the Catholic Church.

Susan will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.

A morning visitation will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, from 8:15 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Orland Funeral Home, 9900 W. 143rd St., Orland Park, IL 60462. A Mass will follow promptly at 10:30 a.m. at St. Julie Billiart Roman Catholic Church, 7399 W. 159th St., Tinley Park, IL 60477. Burial will be private.
