

Al Moorman, 76, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on May 29, 2026. He was born on February 18, 1950, in Manhattan, New York, to Samuel and Fannie Moorman. Al, was a retired Captain of the New York City Department of Corrections, and left behind a legacy of service, faith, laughter, and love.
A devoted Christian minister of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Al was known for his warm spirit and his ability to connect with people from all walks of life. It was often said that he “never met a stranger.” Whether meeting someone for the first time or greeting a lifelong friend, Al’s kindness, humor, and infectious laugh made everyone feel welcome and valued. Throughout his life, Al touched countless lives through his work, his ministry, and his genuine care for others.
Al embraced life with enthusiasm and enjoyed a wide variety of activities. He loved playing chess, basketball, tennis, ping pong, racquetball, dominoes, shuffle board, Chinese checkers, and Monopoly. He found joy in traveling, bike riding, swimming, relaxing in the hot tub, sauna and steam room, juicing vegetables, blending smoothies, and listening to jazz music. His zest for life inspired those around him.
Above all, Al cherished his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Gina; his children, Joseph, Alyssa, and Kevin, also leaving behind a Sichon Puppy, Peter, and his daughters from a previous marriage, Tesha and Teresa; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and his siblings, Priscilla, Donald, and Brenda. His family and friends will forever treasure the memories, wisdom, laughter, and love he shared..
Al’s life exemplifies faith, joy and courage. Al was a faithful husband, a loving father, a generous friend and a loyal servant of our Almighty God, Jehovah!
Though he will be deeply missed, his memory and the many lives he touched will continue for generations to come.
