Our mother Ana Delia Candelaria went to be with her sister, brother, mother and God, on March 30th 2026. She was surrounded by her loved ones, in her home, and went peacefully. She was just shy of her 96th birthday on May 27th.
She was a great Mom, best friend and our “ 5 star general!” She came from humble beginnings, born in Gurabo PR in 1930. She was a strong woman, and a Military wife. We traveled and lived in many different states in the US and lived in France.
She loved growing things from “seed”. She grew vegetables, azaleas, mini roses and her famous orchids. Greenest thumb ever! She loved dancing, laughing and was quite the jokester. One of her favorite sayings was “ Senta se hace na!” (if you are sitting you are not doing anything). She was always on the move, weeding, cleaning or cooking. Her home was her pride and joy and “ no dust bunny” ever had a chance and she put Mr. Clean to shame!
She enjoyed cooking, (great cook) watching westerns, shows about nature and animals. She is survived by her 4 daughters, her nieces, and nephews, her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her brother. She will be missed! (BB) “Rest in eternal peace Mom, you earned your wings!”
In lieu of flowers, donations to Cornerstone Hospice would be appreciated. They were awesome.
A Committal Service will be held at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 2400 Harrell Rd, Orlando, FL 32817, US, on April 4, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
