I just received the very sad news of my 46 brother Anthony passing, I was immediately taken back in time where I remember always being greeted by his friendly smile and his warm demeanor. Anthony was as great an officer as he was an amazing human being, always positive and friendly with everyone who had the good fortune of meeting him. There  will always be a loving spot in our hearts.

I met Anthony at the Ultimate gym in Hicksville New York about 10 years ago, Anthony was such a nice guy,he would do anything to help you out if you need it. He will be missed. Prays for his family ❤️

I met Anthony through my mother Carmen Carmenate.  He offered her and many others constant support.  His ability to give was boundless.  He was a rock for my mom and my family and I can not express the extreme gratitude that we felt for him.
Though I personally knew him for a short time, he made me and my husband feel as though we a were old friends.
On behalf of my mom, my husband and myself, I would like to extend sincere condolences to Dawn and her family as well as Rosa and her family.

Anthony was one of the most fun loving persons I’ve met in a long long time . The room lit up when he walked in .. we attended Real Estate School together .. started a  study group together… met for lunch .. shared fun times … he even gave me beautiful ideas for landscaping my yard .!  Anthony, Vanessa and I were the  “ 3 musketeers”  
His presence will be missed , his laughs are now silenced… but in our hearts ..and memories …. He will always remain !

Had the pleasure of meeting and working with Anthony in the 46 Precinct. Always a gentlemen and as others can attest to would do anything or everything for you, especially a shoulder to lean on. His presence was truly a blessing. I could not believe that such a beautiful person was taken from us. Deepest condolences to the family of Anthony.  When I heard of Anthony’s passing it has brought many tears for he was like the younger brother I always wished for. Loving, caring and gentle soul he was with a smile to go with it. So sorry Rosa and Anthony's family for your loss .. Anthony was one of a kind .. he came into our life in cocoa beach  for a short time  every winter .. Great stories and so much fun and so generous . Always wanted to treat us and pay for everything .. We loved him and are so sad for his loss ❤️❤️

I first met Anthony when I was assigned to the 46 pct.  We automatically became friends and developed a close bond, both on and off the job. He was always helpful and someone you could count on. He did everything with a smile  even under the tremendous pressure of the job.  We always kept in contact through the years, and I will always cherish the memories of his visits to my home when he would return to New York.  I’m devastated and heartbroken by this news.  I want to express my deepest condolences to his family and loved ones, whom he always so lovingly spoke of.  Rest in Peace my brother.  I will miss you.

Sincere condolences to Anthony's sister Dawn and Rosa's families. Taken far too young but will be forever in our hearts. We had many great visits here in Cocoa Beach as Canadian snowbirds and also when he came to see us in Canada. Hugs to you all!!

I worked with Anthony in the four-six Pct., Domestic Violence Unit. Together we were responsible for reducing the amount of Domestic Violence Incident Reports by 1,000, in the year I retired, 1999. Not only was Anthony a good cop, but was even a better person. He was the kind of person if he saw someone without a shirt on, he would give him his, and not want anything in return. Needless to say when I found out he passed away, it hit me like a ton of bricks. No words can express how devastated I was and still am. You my friend will be truly missed. May God shine his eternal light upon you, as I know he will...

I want to give my deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the family of Anthony Springer . Anthony and I met when we were assigned to the 46PCT right out of the academy . From the moment I met Anthony I could tell he was definitely a 1 of a kind person . He wore a smile whenever you talked to him and always and I mean always had some type of story or tale to tell . We all had nicknames at the 46 and Springer’s was Mother Goose because he could go on for hours with stories of his experiences in life .  No matter how bad or down a situation was Anthony always had such a nonchalant attitude towards it and would look you straight in your eyes and say what does it matter. Then he would give you one of his big smiles that made you feel everything would work out no matter what . Anthony has touched no many lives and helped  so many people without ever wanting or expecting anything in return . Anthony was so loved and will be so greatly missed by an unbelievable amount of people

Anthony  was like a brother I never had. From the first time I met him I knew he was once in a lifetime friend . Always willing to help other people and expect nothing in return. I’m truly blessed to have had him in my life. I still have the mountain bike you gave me from 1995 and when I’m riding stillwell,bethpage etc your spirit will always be with me and guiding me through the rest of my life.  You are with the rest of your family and friends that have  passed before you now and one day I will see you again  my friend . Give my mother a hug for me she loved you!  Love you , miss you completely devastated over this!
