

Asa King Fulton was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on June 20, 1940. He moved with his family to Houston, TX in 1946. He graduated from Bellaire High School in 1958, obtained his Bachelor’s from Stanford University in 1962 and his Master’s from Georgia Tech in 1964. He spent most of his working years in the aerospace industry.
Asa loved to travel. As a child his family spent many summers tent camping, often in the Rockies. When he was 14 the family lived in Germany for 6-months where he attended a German boarding school. As an adult, Asa made many trips all over the world: Mexico & South America, Europe, Guam and the Pacific, and the Mid-East. His last trip was to Iceland in winter! A goal of his was to visit all 50 states and all 10 Canadian provinces which he was close to achieving.
Asa died on August 11, 2026 at his home in Orlando, FL. He is predeceased by his parents Edythe and James Street Fulton and his partner of 40 years Richard Salas. He is survived by his sister Cynthia Fulton Edmondson and longtime friend Josh Harriger.
