Beatrice M. Newman was born December 28, 1925 in Kingston New York to parents Morris and Helen Newman (nee Rosner). Beatrice retired from the New York Police Department and was assigned to the 19th Detective Squad. Miss Newman was never married. She was predeceased by both parents and her brother Abraham. She is survived; by her two sisters T Toby Kafka, Ilene Slomowicz three brothers; Seymour, Philip, and Sherwood Newman, ten nieces and nephews and ten great nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 1:00pm on Sunday February 23rd at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home.
