Betsy Waters

Betsy was the third of four sisters born to Luis Rodriguez and Margie Cordero. She is survived by her husband, Rickey L. Waters and two adult children; Yahira Jasmine and Richard Jamal Waters; three grandchildren, Ethan Edward and Riley Harper Bowen and Arial Hazel Waters, three sister; Virgenmina Rodriguez, Lucy Rodriguez and Maria Rodriguez and adopted brother, Francisco Rodriguez.

She met her husband, Rickey in Plattsburgh, New York in 1985, while both were serving in the US Air Force. On January 16, 1987 they had their first child, daughter, Yahira Jasmine, who brought them much joy and happiness. Betsy left Plattsburgh, New York in 1987 for a 4 year tour to Honolulu, Hawaii with her husband. This was a beautiful tour and one where their second child, Richard Jamal was born, July 14, 1991.

Hawaii is also where Rickey retired from the United Air Force, February 1995; serving Honorably for 26 years. In November of 2019, Betsy retired from the US Air Force Reserves after serving Honorably for 20 years.

Her passing leaves her with one precious desire; that her children and grandchildren will seek peace, love and faith in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2026 from 10 to 11:30 am at Kissimmee SDA Church at 2391 Fortune Road in Kissimmee, Florida, 34744 where Military Honors will be rendered.
