She was born in Belvoir, North Carolina on June 4, 1938.
Betty graduated from Belvoir Falkland High School. She also graduated from East Carolina College and received a Master's Degree from the University of Central Florida.
She was married to Gordon Beamer on August 21, 1961.
Betty had a career in Elementary Education for Orange County Public Schools where she worked at Azalea Park Elementary School for 32 years.
She had a passion for gardening, carving, reading and tennis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Beamer; parents, Dempsey and Mabel Parker; and brothers Dempsey and Roy Parker.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Melanie Rizzo; son, Jeff Beamer; sister, Barbara Tripp; brother, Larry Parker; grandsons, Tommy, Nicholas, Jack, and Joseph Rizzo; many nieces and nephews; and her dog Rudy.
