Betty K. Beatty

Betty K. Beatty, 85, of Orlando, FL, passed away June 22, 2012. She was born September 17, 1926 in Chattanooga, TN, the daughter ofI.B.Koons and Margaret Standish Koons. After marrying her husband of 47 years, Floyd Allen Beatty, they moved to Orlando in 1947. In 1956, she gave birth to their only child, Marjorie. Betty worked for 25 years for Orange County's Planning andDevelopement Departments, retiring in 1991. Her cherished husband, Floyd (GP) died in 1993, leaving a legacy not soon forgotten by friends and family. After moving from the farm to the Conway area, Betty became an active member of Conway First Baptist Church, who lovingly supported her until the time of her death. She is survived by her daughter Marjorie, son-in-law Jim Campbell and grandchildren Benjamin (wife Tammy), Rachel (husband Sean) Jonathan andDaniel. Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 25 at 11 a.m. at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home, 2811 Curry Ford Rd., Orlando 32806. Visitation will be held Monday from 10 a.m. until service time.
